If you’re stressed, having trouble sleeping, or just want new recipes on file, enjoy my calming podcast series of vintage recipes : Beretta Pudding.

Why pudding? Several years ago, I was having trouble sleeping and my sister began telling me her recipe for banana pudding, one of my favorite desserts. I found it so soothing and relaxing that I soon dropped right off to sleep.

As a collector of vintage cookbooks, I thought it would be nice to share some of the recipes from my cookbook library, to help you relax, inspire you to cook, or to simply put you to sleep.

Update: Beginning in October 2020, Beretta Pudding episodes #2 and on will be part of exclusive bonus content available only to Patreon tier 2 and up subscribers. Support the show and become a Patreon! Memberships start at as little as $3 a month.

About The Featured Cookbook

Famous French Cookery by Hyla O’Connor is a wonderful hardback cookbook from the Women’s Day library of cookbooks, published by Fawcett Books in 1969. It is full of many delectable recipes from appetizers to entrees, many of which stand the test of time.

Retro illustrations, helpful descriptions and full color 1960s photography, art direction and styling make this a useful and attractive cookbook to add to your vintage library.
